1. A Happy Choice
Choose a form of exercise that you enjoy. It doesn’t matter what your friends are doing, you decide what you feel great doing. When you love what you do there’ll be no resentment for going and no guilt for not going. When you detach any negative emotions towards exercising you will feel your energy shift and rise with an oomph! I’ve always chosen dancing, yoga and walking, you may prefer spinning, jogging and swimming. There’s no right or wrong. Action is always better that no action and a few days of doing nothing can turn into weeks and months. So choose what you enjoy!
2. Consistency Is Key
Decide what you are willing to do and stick to it. One of the biggest reasons people struggle to reach any goal whether fitness, health or career is inconsistency. Never underestimate the huge impact of small actions taken consistently over time. In a world of instant gratification decide today to be patience, to commit to being consistent and to give yourself sweet gratification for taking action.
3. Focus On The Actions Not The Results
As mentioned above it’s so easy for us to expect instant results from only a few actions. I’ve done it myself before so many times. I’ve had a great 24 hours of exercising, eating healthy and feeling fabulous to then look in the mirror and see nothing has really changed and thought what’s the point! In those moments it’s so easy for you to consider whether it is worth it but stay focused on the actions regardless of the results. Healthy living is a lifestyle choice we make so be kind to yourself on a daily basis with no judgement. When you keep checking for results you put pressure on yourself. And on a day when the result seem insignificant it can create negative emotions which creates low vibrating energy in our bodies that then make us feel lethargic. So enjoy the process.
